SOME SAMPLE RULES TO ANALYSE A BIRTH CHART

An astrologer has to apply numerous rules when interpreting birth charts. It can be confusing as many factors have to be considered and blended together. It is first necessary to know all the facts about planets; their relative positions, their power in each house, aspects/focus of other benefic or malefic planets on a planet etc. and remember the various astrological rules before one is able to interpret a chart correctly. Applying the rules requires an extraordinary skill and it is sad that some astrologers who don’t have this skill mislead their clients.

This book only concentrates on the preparation of birth and Navamsa Charts. The rules for interpretation of charts are beyond the scope of this book. However a few rules are given below as a sample for the reader to get an insight into the complexity of birth chart interpretation. There are some good books available in the market for the interested reader to explore this intricate field!

Armed with the basic knowledge gained from this book one can better understand what astrologers say when consulting them.

Sample Rules

1)A horoscope with a strong 9th house (i.e. with one or more benefic planets in it) counteracts any other malefic aspects of the horoscope.

2)A house whose Lord is placed in the 9th house generally prospers in the area of life that house represents.

3)The 7th house Lord (in Rasi chart or Navamsa Chart) in conjunction with (stays in the same house with) Venus gives a happy married life.

4)A malefic planet in the 7th house in a Rasi chart is bad for marriage and if in the 7th house of Navamsa Chart, it is worse.

5)Venus in conjunction with Rahu or Kethu in the Navamsa 7th house indicates marriage of the native to a person outside of own community. It also signals problems in the relationship.

6)When the lord of the 2nd house is in Lagna, one will earn money by their own effort, intelligence and learning.

7)If the Lord of the 12th is in the 2nd house or vice versa the person will lose wealth under penalty.

8)If the 2nd house Lord joins the 3rd house Lord in the 3rd house, there will be prosperity and improvement in financial matters.

9)Venus in the 4th house makes one proficient in music.

10)If malefic planets aspect or occupy the 6th house in one’s chart, they will have few enemies. The number of enemies will increase if benefic planets aspect or occupy the 6th house.
